About

Someone in your corner.

Emerge Sports Management exists because the coaches doing the most work in college basketball are usually the ones with the least representation.

Why We Started

The advocate gap.

Spend enough years around this sport and a pattern becomes impossible to miss. Division I assistants — and coaches at the Division II, III, and NAIA levels — do the recruiting, the development, the scouting, and the late nights. Then a job opens, and the people who get it are the ones somebody spoke for.

Not because they were better. Because they were represented. Athletes have had advocates for decades. Head coaches at the highest levels have had them for just as long. Everyone else has been left to navigate the most competitive job market in sports alone, on their own time, while still doing their actual job.

Emerge was built to close that gap — to make sure the right coaches are in the right rooms, and that when the offer comes, someone at the table is negotiating for them instead of for the institution.

Emerge Sports Management

Partnerships, event access, and the relationships that come from putting programs and staffs in the same gyms year after year.

Tyler has spent his career on the side of the sport where programs, staffs, and administrators actually gather — hundreds of them, in the same gyms, season after season. That vantage point is a different kind of network than a contact list, and it is the one Emerge points at your next job.

The Team

A network, not a directory.

Behind Scott and Tyler is a group of people who have spent their careers inside basketball — in grassroots, on staffs, in athletic departments, and in the media that covers the sport. Between us, the phone calls that matter get answered.

Relationships that predate the job opening

We're not cold-calling athletic directors on your behalf. These are people we've worked alongside for years, across grassroots, college, and media.

Coast-to-coast, not regional

Based in Los Angeles, working nationally. The right job for you may not be within driving distance, and our network isn't either.

Basketball only

Men's and women's, every level. We don't spread across sports, which is why we can be genuinely useful in this one.

How We Operate

Four commitments.

01

Discretion

Most of our clients are currently employed. Nothing moves without your explicit sign-off — no name, no calls, no exceptions.

02

Candor

If a job isn't realistic, we say so. You can't build a plan on flattery, and we'd rather lose the engagement than waste your cycle.

03

Advocacy

We work for you, not for the institution. In every conversation and every negotiation, our obligation runs one direction.

04

Access

Our value is the call we can make that you can't. We spend it deliberately, and only on coaches we believe in.

Next Step

Let's talk about where you're headed.

One confidential conversation. No obligation, and no pitch if we don't think we can help.
